South Texas is famous for trophy White Tail deer, and the 7000 acre La Parrilla Ranch offers you some of the finest! Our deer herd has been intensely managed since purchasing the ranch in 2000. In addition to our Managed Lands Deer Permit, we employ a variety of other methods to improve our deer herd; roller chopping, food plots, water system, supplemental feeding (protein, cotton seed) and annual helicopter surveys are just a few.
Our guides monitor deer activity daily and will determine the method and area that provides you the greatest opportunity for a successful hunt. Deer in the 140 B&C class are common with a few of the better animals reaching 190”!
It is our goal to see that you have a successful hunt and enjoy your time while at the La Parrilla Ranch.

Guests at the La Parrilla will enjoy comfortable accommodations in a modern bunkhouse that combines rustic simplicity with cleanliness. Each of the four guest rooms have individual AC/heating units, a private bath and three sets of bunk beds. Rooms do not include televisions.
Bedding and linens are provided but many visitors like to bring their own towels, bed rolls, pillows, etc., to increase their comfort. It is a camp environment and likewise, some toiletries are typically available (soap, shampoo, etc.), but the prepared visitors will pack these personal items as well.
The Lodge is the primary gathering area as well as where all meals are served. It has a commercial kitchen, satellite television and is decorated with numerous deer and other animal mounts.
Meals are included in the package pricing. Snacks are available before the morning hunts and a warm breakfast is typically served upon your return. Light lunches in the early afternoon will carry you through your evening hunt where you will be served supper that typically feature the meats and side dishes traditionally served to families along the South Texas/Mexico border.
